Good Morning Monday!

I can’t believe it’s almost October! That means it’s almost time for GRL! Three weeks, to be exact, before I fly out from Sydney to LA, then head to Denver! I’m super excited but woefully unprepared. It’s the beginning of the school holidays here, so not only do I have family stuff but that means my work time is almost down to nil. I’m also sick! My doctor says I have influenza (it’s been a horribly bad flu season this year in Australia) and I can honestly say, on top of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I feel like death warmed over. I’ve been trudging along on my WIP, but my hopes of having it done before the holidays, or even before GRL, look unlikely. Which means my estimated release date of sometime in November also looks unlikely.

But it’s not all doom and gloom!

Yanni’s Story won FIRST PLACE at Open Skye Book Reviews Book of the Month for August! I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to all the bloggers and reviewers who work tirelessly and volunteer their time to make our community such a wonderful place!

Switched is now out of Kindle Unlimited and will be in all retail stores asap! These can take a few days to appear, so I’ll be sure to add the links as they happen. But as for now, you can find Switched at Smashwords, Payhip, and of course, at Amazon.

In audio news, Switched had a fabulous release day and made Audible’s Best Seller’s list in LGBT fiction! Actually, in Audible’s Top 20 LGBT fiction, I have THREE books! Switched, Cronin’s Key and Cronin’s Key II are all sitting pretty in the Best Seller’s category! Thank you to everyone who bought and reviewed my audio books, and my ebooks as well!

You can find Switched at Audible

In other exciting audio news, The Weight of It All is now up for pre-order!!!

You can pre-order it at Audible

Also, keep an eye out for Point of No Return being on special later this week! As part of a Bookbub deal, it will be on sale for just 99c! The sale is exclusive to Amazon!

Okay, that’s it for this week. Fingers crossed I start to feel better, and fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that I can get the first draft of On Davis Row closer to being done.

Have a great week, and thank you for reading! Until then… ❤

Good Morning Monday! And a COVER REVEAL!

Who wants an exclusive cover reveal?? LOL Of course you do! I’ve had the cover to On Davis Row for aaaaages but as its about 75% written, I thought I’d share the cover with you all!

On Davis Row (which is the story I’m writing) is currently at 55K words, so I don’t have a blurb yet, and I’m aiming for a release date sometime in November.

I first saw the cover on a pre-sale site, and just loved it. It’s quite different to my usual covers – I’m normally drawn to abstract and avoid covers with a sexy guy on the front, but I loved this one. I didn’t have anything written for it, so it sat on my computer for a while, then two characters started to form in my head and I had a title before much of anything else, but I knew this was their cover.

So, without further ado, I present On Davis Row…

Isn’t it GORGEOUS???  It was made by Marianne Nowicki at The Premade ebook Cover Shop. On Davis Row is the story of Noah Huxley and CJ Davis, a parole officer and a parolee. At first glance, they seem polar opposites, but as walls start to come down, they realise they’re not that different at all.

I can’t wait for you all to meet Noah and CJ. I was hoping to have it done by the end of this week (before school holidays) but that’s just not going to happen. These boys and their story is longer than I first anticipated. I’m at 55K and they haven’t even kissed yet! So now, my goal is to have it completed by the end of the school holidays (three weeks from now). It’s crazy timing, because I’ll be away for most of the holidays so maybe this new deadline is ridiculous. But fingers crossed!!

A reminder that GRL is fast approaching and the cut off date for ordering signed paperbacks is coming to a close. You can find the order form HERE. Alternatively, you can bring your own copies and I’ll happily sign them there!

And for my audio lovers, SWITCHED is out this week!!!!  I can’t wait! You can find it at Audible.com

Okay that’s it for this week! I’m hoping for ALL the words! Oh, and a reminder for all my Aussie counterparts…

And Cronin’s Key III is out on audio tomorrow!! And the audio Switched is out on Sept 20th! I can’t wait!!!

Good Morning Monday! All The New Releases!

Within a week, I will have had THREE releases!

  • Yanni’s Story (Aug 29th)
  • Cronin’s Key III on audio (Sept 5th)
  • Elements of Retrofit re-release! (Sept 6th)

Crazy, right? Busy too! LOL

First of all, Yanni’s Story made its way out into the world and I couldn’t be prouder! I’ve had some wonderful, heartfelt feedback who thanked me for giving them a voice. It breaks my heart that anyone has lived through (and thankfully survived) what Yanni went through. For many people, Yanni’s Story wasn’t fiction, and I’ll be forever grateful to the readers who contacted me to share their stories with me. If anyone were to ask me why I write, my answer is this: so people have something to identify with. And if my words can shed a little bit of light on one person’s darkness, then everything I’ve done thus far has been worth it.  ❤

Next up is Cronin’s Key III on Audio!

The third and final instalment of Alec and Cronin’s epic adventure is out on audio September 5th!

Listen as Joel Leslie brings every character to life. The poor guy had six nationalities, as well different ages, different sexes, in ONE conversation, and pulled it off flawlessly!

You can find it at Audible

And last but not least, the re-release of Elements of Retrofit!!  I am SO excited to be getting the rights back to my books with their current publisher. Things you need to know…

  • The current (old) version will disappear from sites on Sept 6th
  • I will upload the new version on Sept 7th.
  • The new version has been re-edited.
  • There is no new content.
  • It will be exclusive to Amazon KU.
  • The paperback will be available the same day!
  • Each of the Thomas Elkin books will be released as separate paperbacks.
  • I get the rights back to Clarity of Lines in December, and Sense of Place in Feb.
  • The current trilogy paperback will be unavailable from Monday.
  • Check out the amazing new cover Reese Dante made for me!!

I will post the buy links when the new version goes live!

In other news, my WIP is at 33K. It’s titled On Davis Row, and I need to get it finished before school breaks up in three weeks. If I can manage 10K words a week, I should be able to do it 🙂 Failing any RL hiccups or roadblocks, that is. I’ll be aiming for a November release.

Until next week! ❤

It’s Good Morning Monday time again!

Another quick one from me today! I was out most of the weekend and have been either super busy, or feeling like that damn bus mowed me down again. I know, these two things are related LOL. I feel like crap because I’m busy. I know I should take it easy, and I have been, but I need to slow down a bit more. I will have this coming weekend at home, which is nice, but then I’m away for the next two. Which is not nice. Well, it’s nice, but it’s busy! I have busy kids – which means I’m a busy mum. Argh! Such a vicious circle. 😉

I managed some writing last week, which is the best feeling ever. Yanni’s Story is now at 48K, and maybe it’s half done, I’m not sure. I’m estimating maybe an August/Sept release, but in all honesty, I have no clue. Oh, the joys of self-publishing! LOL

Yanni and Peter still haven’t even kissed yet! Boy, do they still have a long way to go… 😉

Cronin’s Key was released on Audio last week, and the reviews have been AWESOME! I listened to it and Joel did a FAB job! I especially love how he portrayed Eiji 🙂

I will have news later this week on the paperback on Red Dirt Heart Imago and Red Dirt Christmas! Stay tuned!

Until then… ❤

Good Morning Monday! Can you believe it’s almost March already?

good-morning-monday-2-with-frame

I cannot believe how fast this year is going already!!

And are you ready for this? I actually have no books scheduled to release in March… It’s like whaaaa?  LOL  I know, right?

It’s been a crazy two months, and I’m looking forward to the slower pace to concentrate on writing. Releases are hard work, time consuming (and awesome) but they do cut into my writing time. Given that in the last eight weeks, I’ve had three new releases, (Switched, Perfect Catch, and Imago) and three translated title releases (RDH2 in French, Cronin’s Key II in French, Spencer Cohen Book 1 in Italian) and RDH2 in audio as well, it’s been HELLABUSY.

The sequel to Imago should be out early-mid April, but until then I’ll have my head down with writing ALL the words 🙂

Speaking of Red Dirt Heart 2 in audio…

It won AUDIO OF THE MONTH at Open Sky Book Reviews!!!

rdh2-audio

I’ve said it before, but the narrator Joel Leslie does an incredible job and totally deserves recognition for his work here. You can grab it at Amazon or iTunes or Audible

As I mentioned above, Spencer Cohen Book One is now in Italian!!  I can’t believe these boys are being translated all over the world. It’s an incredible honour!

You can find it at Amazon or at Triskell Rainbow!

I can’t do a blog post this week without mentioning a very ENORMOUS thanks to everyone who has bought, read, and reviewed Imago. Jack and Lawson hit #1 in SEVEN countries, which is mind boggling for lil’ ol’ me.

Actually, it did this:

#1 in US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Brazil, France
#2 in Netherlands
#3 in Japan

I’m so very honoured and humbled by the people in this M/M community, and I just LOVE how global we are.

For those who love a paperback, check out this GORGEOUS cover. Paperbacks are now available HERE.

Some very exciting news:

I will be a featured author at GRL2017!

Denver, Colorado, here I come!!  I should add a very seriously disclaimer to this though – my attendance will totally depend on the current US government’s level of craziness. Unfortunately, I’m not kidding.

Until next week!  ❤

Good Afternoon Thursday! Say what?

So sorry I missed my usual Good Morning Monday post. I was travelling and have been feeling a bit under the weather since I got home. But I come bearing news…

Red Dirt Heart 2 is now available on Audio!!  You can find it on Audible HERE

rdh2-audio

I’m super excited about this one. Joel Leslie, the narrator, does such a fabulous job. He really captures Charlie and Travis beautifully.  ❤   I’ll be running an audio book tour soon! More news on that when it comes to hand.

In other news, The Weight of it All is now currently on sale for .99c at Amazon!  I’m running a Bookbub deal to coincide with the books’ return to Kindle Unlimited. So if you haven’t read it, now is the time to grab it!! I’ll post links to the Bookbub when I have them!

In translation news, Red Dirt Heart is now available in French!  When I first wrote these boys, I had no idea my words would reach so many people around the world. I’m very touched that Charlie and Travis’ story is adored by so many ❤  You can find it at Amazon or with MXM Bookmark Publishing.

You can also grab the Italian version of Red Dirt Heart 2 at Amazon or Triskell

I have it on good authority that the German version of RDH2 isn’t too far away. And the French version of Cronin’s Key II should be out soon too!

To recap, Perfect Catch, has been sitting at #1 in 2-hour short reads on Amazon for a few days now. I’m so thrilled that people have loved Troy and Cal’s story. ❤

A quick writing update: Imago is now with my editor!  It ended up being 45K words long, and is super sweet. I’ll be doing a cover reveal soon, and telling a little story on what happens when you write a book and you’re telling a friend the basic plot line, and she says it sounds familiar and you soon realise you might have just unknowingly copied a book released a few years ago. *sigh*  Crises averted though, so no need to panic. LOL

Release day of Imago is set for February 21st 🙂

And I’ve started the sequel!  Woooooot!!  Lawson and Jack are just so adorable. Can’t wait for you all to meet them.

I also won a lot of awards at the Goodreads M/M readers choice awards!!

The Weight Of It All won Best Contemporary for 2016!

Red Dirt Heart Christmas won Best Short Story for 2016!

The Weight Of It All was third for Best Book of the Year!

The Weight Of It All won second for Best Humour of 2016!

Spencer Cohen Book Three won third for Best Performance Artist (incl Tattooists)

The Weight Of It All won third in Best Friends To Lovers of 2016!

It Was Always You won second in Best Anthology of 2016!

Thank you to all who nominated me and voted for me!

Until next time…

Good Morning Monday! What’s new this week…

Good Morning Monday pic

Sorry for the lack of post last week – I was away and had no chance (or wifi) to post anything. I’ll also be away this week, so by the time you guys read this I’ll be in Sydney. I have four days there, then finally come home for three days before the kids go back to school. Hopefully life will resume to normal then. I’ve been so absent on social media as well that I feel a disconnect with my writing life.  IDK. It’s been such a busy and bizarre month and I miss that daily interaction with the wonderful people who have become not just online friends but real friends as well.  Fingers crossed everything settles down soon.

My writing last week was very minimal. I think I did 4K words all up, which is nowhere near my usual quota. My current WIP, which I’ve tentatively titled “The weight of it all” is at 22K words. I have no clue how long it will be but I’m estimating around the 40K word mark.

My other short story, titled Perfect Catch, is back from proofreaders and will be ready for release in October as part of an anthology. I’ll be posting more on that later, but I’m really excited and can’t wait until I can share more news. 🙂

I’ve just approved the proof of Blood & Milk paperback and the full wrap cover is just gorgeous.  You can buy the paperback at Amazon or Createspace.

Excuse the dodgy lighting and bad photography, but here are some photos of the paperback proof…

I’m still waiting on final proofreading of my German translation of Red Dirt Heart. I was hoping to have it released already but with me being away it just couldn’t happen. Hopefully it will be out very soon!

But the audio for Red Dirt Heart went live!!!   I’m so excited about this!  And there has been some GREAT reviews already! Joel did a fabulous job bringing Charlie and Travis to life! And again, a huge thanks to RJ Scott and Love Lane Books for making it happen.

You can find the audiobook on Amazon  and iTunes  and Audible

RedDirtHeartAudioNrWalker

Sooo, what’s new this week?  Well, I’ll be away for four days of it.  We leave early Monday and get home late Thursday, so I doubt there will be much writing done at all. I’m really behind on my schedule and can’t see any hope of catching up, let alone getting ahead. But I’ll just keep going with all I can because as all writers know, even a few hundred words a day helps to add up. My lack of word count isn’t writer’s block, it’s just lack of time and real life being crazy, which is truly frustrating because ALL I want to do is write and I can’t.  For now, the characters in my current WIP are being patient, however my next books’ characters are already starting to talk in my head, so I definitely know who I’m writing next LOL

I also have accounts/taxes to do this week which I’ve been a total fail at. I seriously need an assistant. Or a clone. Or an extra day in the week. Or more coffee…  Actually, all four would be great.  🙂

So that’s all I have to report on just now.  I hope everyone is well, and with all the craziness happening in the world right now, I want to take this opportunity to wish all my readers peace and love.

Until next week…

Red Dirt Heart Audio is NOW LIVE!!

I am so thrilled to announce Charlie and Travis are finally on audio!  Joel Leslie did a fabulous job bringing Sutton Station to life in my first ever audio book.  I’d love to thank Nic Starr for introducing me to Joel, and I’d love to thank RJ Scott and Love Lane Books for providing a platform for this little self-publishing Aussie to use ACX.

You can find the audiobook on Amazon  and iTunes  and Audible
